Delete your The Chain account
This page explains how to permanently delete your account and what happens to your data.
- Open The Chain app and sign in to your account.
- Go to your Profile page.
- Scroll to the Danger Zone and tap Delete Account.
- Type DELETE, tick the confirmation box, and confirm. Your account is removed immediately.
If you are unable to sign in, you can request account deletion by emailing us. Please send your request from the email address associated with your account so we can verify your identity.

- Your login and profile (name, email, phone, profile photo)
- Saved properties and favourites
- Property alerts, search filters and notification preferences
- Your estate-agent profile and agency logo
- Photo requests you sent or received
- Uploaded images, including listing photos and floor plans
Property listings
Your listings are immediately removed from public view. Listing records may be retained in an archived, non-public state for legal and fraud-prevention purposes.
Messages
To preserve conversation history for the other person in a chat, message content may be retained, but your identity is anonymised. Your name, email, phone number and profile image are removed so you can no longer be identified.
Limited retention
We may retain a minimal amount of data where required by law or for legitimate security and fraud-prevention purposes. Any retained data is kept no longer than necessary.
